About a year ago, I got a henna tattoo on my hand at the NC La Leche League area conference and I was fascinated by the art ! Since then, I have been scribbling and doodling, learning the many Mehndi strokes that comprise the art. I have not used actual henna yet, but have been practicing with felt tipped pens.
I have seen Mehndi done with an indigo color and thought it was so pretty, so I doodled this in blue.
I LOVE this hand. Being a beader I can just see it completely adorned in beads!! Are you covered in snow this morning? We are and its beautiful -- perfect weather to stay warm inside and bead, bead, bead.
ReplyDeleteI love henna art also. I know of a site that has a free download for several books. The artist is Brenda and has a business of painting bangle bracelets, but started with henna art. Let me know if you are interested. I am a member of BJP and a Beaders Story. Nice to meet you. You are certainly a talented artist.
